How to Care & Clean?

Take it off

Please be aware that although we offer the best quality products, the care of your beloved jewelry may be necessary. Wipe off the dust from time to time or take it off during strenuous exercise or activities that use water, such as washing dishes or gardening, to keep your jewelry in good condition.

Storage

When you take your ring off for the above activities, make sure you've a safe and memorable place to store it.
  • Keep it free of lotion, sunscreen and perfume.
  • Don't swim in the ocean while wearing your ring!
  • Be careful in the kitchen. Better take it off when you're doing heavy work...
  • Don't wear jewelry in swimming pools and spas.
  • Take off your jewelry before bathing - Take off all jewelry before showering or cleaning.

Clean

Most jewelers will clean your ring for free, so take advantage of this courtesy. If you don't have time to go to the jeweler, there are a few ways to clean your ring at home.

Imolove recommends using a mild dishwashing detergent to remove lotions from the bottom of the setting. Simply scrub the top and bottom with a soft toothbrush and rinse several times with hot water. For added shine, dip your ring in a small bowl of ammonia diluted with three times the amount of water and gently brush the top and bottom of the setting with a soft toothbrush. Immerse the ring in the solution again and then rinse it several times with warm water to make sure all of the solution has been removed. Place the ring on a soft towel to dry, or gently pat dry.

Maintenance

1. Moissanit is sensitive to heat

Although moissanite is formed under high temperatures and pressure, its main component is carbon, which burns when heated to 800 degrees in air and turns into carbon dioxide gas. So don't let your moissanite get near high heat.

2. Moissanite is sensitive to ultraviolet rays

When moissanite is exposed to strong ultraviolet rays that are filtered by ozone, you can see small dimples on the surface of the moissanite after a short time. Therefore, don't place your moissanite jewelry in the sun or even under a magnifying glass. This could damage your moissanite.

3. Moissanite is sensitive to radiation

Radiation should be the nemesis of many gemstones. When moissanite is irradiated, it can change color. Don't naively believe that your white diamonds will become colored diamonds. The color of moissanite diamonds that have been irradiated is irreversible. Therefore, it's important to keep your moissanite away from radiation.

4. Moissanite is sensitive to oil

Moissanite's lipophilicity may be its most common weakness, as it makes it more prone to staining its surface with oil stains and impurities, masking its luster. Therefore, the jewelry should be removed when washing dishes and doing housework. If it is stained with oil, it should be cleaned with a professional jewelry cleaning solution.

5. Moissanite is sensitive to impact

Is not moissanite the hardest material? Yes, moissanite itself is hard, but the harder the material, the more fragile it is. Although moissanite can cut anything and is not afraid of wear and tear, moissanite is afraid of impact and can easily break, so please do not take moissanite for violent acts.
